About the course
Mindfulness means being fully aware of the present experience, without judgment. Mindfulness can be translated as "attentiveness".
This mindfulness can be trained. By directing your attention more often, you learn to distance yourself from the spinning thoughts in your head. You can concentrate better and relax more easily. The mind becomes calmer. You learn to make conscious choices instead of reacting automatically to situations that arise. You learn to deal differently with thought patterns that are not helpful. A higher degree of awareness arises and you can better guard your boundaries.
The MBSR training is a practical training and consists of 6 weekly meetings of 1.5 hours. It is important to practice daily at home and to continue after the training. Only then will you get the maximum effect from the training.
During or after this training you can also practice during one of the English continuous groups that we offer.
We advise you to wear comfortable clothing during the sessions.
