Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
About the course
Life is not easy and being a human being includes difficulties. Do you experience complaints like worrying, anxiety, insecurity, perfectionism or gloom, and have you noticed that fighting or avoiding it is not working for you? Do you want to discover what truly matters to you and how you can live wholeheartedly, based on your values? This course will help you to experience greater freedom and quality in your life, despite the things you struggle with, and teach you how to cope with difficult situations.
Combining mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) you will learn to observe your thoughts without judgement and take them less seriously, recognize your behavior patterns and learn skills to deal with them in a different way. You will learn to develop an attitude of acceptance towards hard feelings and will be expanding your psychological flexibility by connecting with the ‘here and now’ in your life. Instead of dealing with things on autopilot, you will learn to consciously choose behavior that suits you.
7 sessions, including one introductory (after the introduction you decide if you want to join the course, followed by 6 sessions)
